WEDDING GUIDE

Hello future Mr & Mrs!

thank you

I am so excited & honored that you have booked AgapePhotoFilm to be apart of your special day! My goal is to serve you & your vision. My approach to weddings is simply throughout planning  your wedding, I'll be here to listen to your vision, to send/talk about thee Pinterest boards to & day-of, capture every beautiful, joy-filled moment. I want your day to be captured as is, & to ensure that you are as stress-free as possible & your day is as enjoyable as possible from our first chat until you receive your final products. I don't take it lightly that I get to be apart of one of the most special days of your life. Here's a little guide put together by me, to help!

Fav wedding day tips from past brides

IF YOU WANT CANDID PHOTOS, BE CANDID. LET THE DAY PLAY OUT AS IS..

Photographers & videographers can't force real moments, so stay close to your partner, physically be together & affectionate and just be yourself, we'll be there to capture it :))  Also be conscious of the fact that cameras are on you basically all day so smile BIG & as much as you can!!! Laugh & smile a ton (be yourselves) & I promise you will like the outcome!

allow yourself 2hrs of daylight after ceremony for photos

This is so you don't have to feel rushed during your portraits!!! When the sun is setting too fast, it makes everyone stressed to make sure we can fit in family, bridal parties, & bride+groom portraits all in before the sun goes down.

hire the coordinator

No, you don't NEED the planner/coordinator, but I will always suggest hiring one. Not having one basically dubs your photographer as one. Meaning us having to play decretive hunting down family, wedding party or vendors with the chance of possibly missing the in-between moments. Unnecessary stress for you & I!

rain won't run your day.

but your attitude about it could. EMBRACE IT & have fun!!!! It's ultimately about the marriage not the day! We will get through it together, umbrellas will be at hands reach all day, I've been to many weddings I've shot at where it's rained, hard and on and off. There are plenty of things I've learned along the way that makes the day easier for you both. If the decision is made to move the timeline around to dodge the rain, that is not a problem at all, that is why I leave cushion time in the timeline!

timeline details

Typically the coordinator creates the base timeline for the wedding day since they’re coordinating all vendors and logistics. Once that’s in place, I will create the photography timeline within it to make sure we have the right amount of time for portraits, family photos, and the best lighting. If you/coordinator send over the draft timeline when it’s ready, I’m happy to review it and adjust the photography portions so everything flows smoothly!

details morning of

It's always so helpful to have a "details box" ready for your photographer/videographer at arrival. This is designed to help make your detail shots stand out. None of these aspects/items are necessary, however, they do aid in making your detail shots feel custom to you and your fiance. Feel free to get as creative as you want. I also have a kit I bring on the day of the wedding to utilize when setting up my detail shots for you. (ex. shoes, necklaces, rings, veil)

keep me in the loop!

Communicate with me PLEASE!!! If there is ANYTHING you think I may need to know OR you change anything important, please let me know.

getting ready

Please make sure your getting ready space is clean before photographer/videographer arrival. Unfortunately I can't make a messy place pretty for aesthetic photos!

A note...

I love when my couples send me their Pinterest board for inspiration. One thing to note is that it is meant to be inspiration not imitation. Every wedding is unique & my goal for capturing it is to make sure it's as true to you guys as possible, while aligning with my style.
